Air France unveils home fragrance with Maison Francis Kurkdjian at select Paris CDG lounges
Named AF001, the fragrance was created by Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and is now available at select lounges at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport.
FRANCE. Air France has partnered with Maison Francis Kurkdjian to introduce its first signature home fragrance, starting with select lounges at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport.
Named AF001, the fragrance was created by Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, Artistic Director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, highlighting French craftsmanship on a global stage.
The name evokes the Concorde flights that connected New York and Paris in the late 1970s.
Providing a multi-sensory experience for passengers, the scent is now available at the entrance to select Air France lounges at Paris CDG Airport, including its La Première suites, as well as other lounges in terminals 2E (halls L and M), 2F and 2G.
The roll-out will extend to other Paris and global lounges in the coming months.
AF001 combines musky notes with mimosa from the south of France, complemented by hints of jasmine and rose for a subtle floral touch.
Francis Kurkdjian said: “I’m very proud to have created Air France’s first signature home fragrance. It was the illusion of a ray of sunshine on the wings of an aircraft that inspired me to create this light, fresh and comforting home fragrance.”
Air France SVP Customer Experience Fabien Pelous added: “The Air France travel experience now elevates all five senses: sight, with the haute couture uniforms of our staff, our cabin interiors and the meticulous design of our lounges; taste, with the delicious dishes on the menu on board; touch, with the soft fabrics of our seats; sound, with our playlists on board; and now smell, with this prestigious signature fragrance.”
