Bad Bunny celebrated new album at Toñita’s in Williamsburg & NYC subway, announces Puerto Rico residency
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nydia Velázquez, two NYC politicians of Puerto Rican descent, were also in attendance at Toñita’s.
Bad Bunny will co-host and perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight (1/13), and ahead of that he made a couple appearances around NYC. He returned to Williamsburg’s long-standing and very intimate Carribbean social club Toñita’s to celebrate his new album Debí Tirar Más Fotos on Sunday (1/12). As Rolling Stone and TMZ both report, also in attendance were two NYC politicians of Puerto Rican descent, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nydia Velázquez. The NYC institution is always as packed as it can get, and it’s no surprise that that was even more true with Bad Bunny in the house. Check out some pics and videos of the night:
On Monday, Bad Bunny gave a surprise performance at the 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center subway station, playing “NUEVAYoL” off Debí Tirar Más Fotos. He and Jimmy Fallon pulled off their wigs as Fallon introduced him, yelling, “Welcome to New York City, I’m Jimmy Fallon, this is Bad Bunny, he’s got a new record out!”
