Kombucha plays a surprisingly large role in the new Disney+ series “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” which adapts multiple classic R.L. Stine books but mostly focuses its attention on the Goosebumps tale, Stay Out of the Basement. David Schwimmer stars as botanist Dr. Anthony Brewer in the brand new season, which is now streaming on both Disney+ and Hulu.
In celebration of the new show’s premiere, the company Better Booch – dedicated to “gut health for the good life” – has unleashed an official Goosebumps tie-in product: Dr. Brewer’s Botanist Brew, a “Pineapple Spice Tepache Kombucha” concoction that’s now available.
Each 12-pack of the limited release Botanist Brew is selling for $43.
Better Booch details, “Dr. Brewer’s Botanist Brew: Pineapple, spice, and everything… eerie? Our mysterious black brew, disguised as tepache, will possess your taste buds and blow your mind. Pop open this can of sweet, tangy, cinnamon-y darkness – if you dare.”
Orders for the non-alcoholic, gut-healthy brew will begin shipping January 15. “Booch is a drink best served cold,” the company reminds, so make sure you keep your cans in the fridge.
