Brooklyn club Paragon shutting down

Brooklyn club Paragon is shutting down in April. The venue, which was formerly known as Venus in Furs and is owned by John Barclay (co-founder of Bossa Nova Civic Club), posted a statement on social media, which reads:

It is with deep sadness that today we must deliver the message of Paragon’s conclusion. After almost 3 years of running a venue with some of the world’s best people we simply cannot afford the financial reality of this industry in 2025 and will be closing our doors this April.

We want to thank all of our supporters for the memories and the friendships. We want to thank all of the artists that graced us with their magic. Most of all we want to thank our coworkers who often went far beyond their job descriptions to make dreams come true.

As of today, the business is for sale. If anyone is interested in purchasing (or investing) feel free to reach out.

Please consider swinging by to pay your respects. We will miss you all.

Paragon’s current schedule includes UNiiQU3 with Dj sliink, Zaida Zane and Devoye (February 1); Aurora Halal with Justin Cudmore, Kilopatrah Jones, Makadsi, and a special guest (February 7); Manuka Honey with MJ Nebreda, Oscar Nñ, Precolumbian, Lethal Trip, and DJ Failure (February 8); Curses with Eli Escobar, Andi, and WTCHCRFT (February 28); and more.
