Ewan McGregor Rumored To Be In Ahsoka Season 2 – We’re Backing That Up | Barside Buzz

This weekend saw some Barside Buzz that Ewan McGregor was rumored to be returning for Ahsoka Season 2, well, we’re backing that rumor up. The rumor was first raised by Kristian Harloff. Now, regulars will know this insider does not have a good enough hit rate for me to normally cover. However, here’s what he had to say he’s heard regarding Ahsoka Season 2.

Harloff says Hayden Christensen is expected to have a “pretty big role” in Ahsoka season 2. The insider also reveals that Ariana Greenblatt will return as the young Ahsoka and… Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Now, McGregor would not automatically be thought to be in Ahsoka Season 2, having not appeared in Season 1. However, I also have to say that all of the information above is a rumor we can back up. We have heard the same information from our own sources. We have gotten some good Star Wars inside information in the past. However, not for some time, and it’s not really something we are looking to do as a website all the time.

However, now and then, we do hear the odd thing. When we do we have a very good hit rate. We were discussing publishing the McGregor news ourselves late last week. We did want to try and get another source we know to confirm first though, and that we have yet to do.

There may be a few more details we can share in addition to above. Though, before we do, we want to just double check and make sure it’s legit and up to date. We’ll get back to you when we can on that.

It’s simply too peculiar for Harloff to have heard almost exactly the same information we did around the same time for there not to be something in it. As for what form Kenobi will take in Ahsoka Season 2, I have no more information? However, we can choose between Force Ghost and World Between Worlds, or maybe flashbacks, that’s the only options. 

It seems Season 2 of Ahsoka is moving ahead quickly and the cast is being tied up. I expect we might hear a little more about Ahsoka Season 2 in the next few weeks even if it’s not from ourselves.
