Laura Jane Grace & Catbite release Operation Ivy covers LP to benefit LA wildfires aid

Against Me!’s Laura Jane Grace and Catbite have teamed up for Operation Ivy covers sets at a few shows and festivals, and today they’ve released a live album of their secret Riot Fest afterparty set at Chicago’s Empty Bottle on September 21, 2024 to benefit those affected by the recent LA wildfires. The 28-song album is available for a pay-what-you-want download (starting at $1) on Bandcamp, and proceeds will be split 50/50 between Sweet Relief and Best Friends. Anyone who purchases the album for $10 or more also gets entered to win one of ten LJG/Catbite Op Ivy t-shirts.

You have to purchase the album to hear it in full, but they’re streaming their cover of “Knowledge,” and it’s an awesome, faithful take that Laura’s gritty voice is perfect for. There’s also a teaser video with clips of the other songs. Check it out below.
