Lucy Dacus announces new LP ft. Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker & more, shares 2 tracks, announces tour

Lucy Dacus has announced her highly anticipated fourth album, Forever is a Feeling, due out March 28 via Geffen Records. It’s her first solo album since 2021’s fantastic Home Video, and it features contributions from her boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, as well as Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Jay Som‘s Melina Duterte. See the cover art below. The album also features Hozier, who Lucy previously joined onstage at one of his Forest Hills Stadium shows last year. She told New York Times at the time, “Lesbians love Hozier. His songs are so poetic and heartfelt, and they’re about yearning in a way that seems really genuine. I just think his lyricism is really great,” adding, “It’s really the yearning.” She wrote the songs on Forever is a Feeling between fall of 2022 and summer of 2024, and says, “I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling out of love.” She adds, “You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.” She’s shared two new singles: “Ankles,” which is accompanied by an enchanting video filmed in Paris that Lucy stars in with Havana Rose Liu, and “Limerence.” Watch the “Ankles” video, and hear “Limerence,” below. Lucy had announced a short run of intimate US shows in February, and now she’s revealed a full run of dates in April, with MUNA‘s Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t (whose new album, which is due out on Phoebe’s Saddest Factory label, Lucy produced with her boygenius bandmates). Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, January 24, with presales beginning on Tuesday, January 21, and $1 from each ticket will go to the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund.
