Milan Bergamo Airport announce the expansion of its Egypt network with the addition of a new route operated by Air Cairo. Starting 3 April, the subsidiary of flag carrier Egypt Air will launch a nonstop service between Milan Bergamo and Sharm El Sheikh, strengthening ties between Italy and one of Egypt’s most popular destinations.
The new route will be served twice weekly by Air Cairo’s modern Embraer E190 aircraft, offering a comfortable travel experience.
This new route marks another step in enhancing connectivity between Northern Italy and Egypt, providing travellers with more options to explore the vibrant Red Sea region or visit the historical and cultural landmarks of Egypt. The twice-weekly service is expected to appeal to leisure travellers.

This significant growth reflects more than a doubling of overall seat capacity during the period. Looking ahead, the number of available seats between Milan Bergamo and Egypt is expected to further increase in 2025, surpassing last year’s record.
Milan Bergamo Airport offers passengers flights to five destinations in Egypt in summer 2025. Travellers can opt for a nonstop service to Alexandria, Cairo, Marsa Alam, Marsa Matruh and Sharm El Sheikh. A record six airlines will maintain operations to the country in 2025.
