Portishead’s Beth Gibbons announces North American solo tour with Bill Ryder-Jones (BV presale for Beacon Theatre)

Portishead‘s Beth Gibbons, whose solo debut, Lives Outgrown, was one of our favorite records of 2024, has announced a North American tour happening this spring. These will be her first-ever solo dates here (she did tour with Rustin Man in 2003) and are bookended with festival appearances at Big Ears in Knoxville and Coachella in Indio, CA. In between, she’ll hit Philly, DC, NYC, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, and Denver.

Opening all headline shows is Bill Ryder-Jones, who made another of our favorite albums of 2024, Iechyd Da. This will be his first North American tour under his own name (he used to be in The Coral). That’s a great double bill and all dates are below.

The NYC show is at Beacon Theatre on April 1 and you can get tickets early with the BrooklynVegan presale that runs from Thursday, January 23 at 10 AM to Friday, January 24 at 9 AM. Use the presale password LIVES.

Any remaining tickets to Beacon and all other dates go on sale Friday, January 24 at 10 AM local time.
