The Roots playing ‘Do You Want More?!!!??!’ 30th anniversary shows at Blue Note
The Roots will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic sophomore album across six shows at NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Club.
The Roots have announced that they’ll celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1995 sophomore album (and major label debut) Do You Want More?!!!??! with a run of shows at NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Club from March 13-15, with two shows each night. Tickets go on sale today (1/17) at 10 AM.
The Roots will also be busy this year with their collaborative set with Lil Wayne at New Orleans Jazz Fest and the ‘Class of ’95’ edition of Roots Picnic LA with Lil’ Kim, Redman & Method Man, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, DJ Quik, Raekwon, E-40, Goodie Mob, Havoc of Mobb Deep, and more TBA.
Questlove is also one of the many people to pay tribute to David Lynch, calling him “the first human/creative that stressed the importance of not overworking and taking time out to breathe & meditate and searching for creative avenues not in my comfort zone.”
