Coheed & Cambria and Taking Back Sunday announce co-headlining tour with Foxing
Coheed also released a new song and video off their upcoming album ‘The Father of Make Believe.’
Mastodon aren’t the only band that Coheed & Cambria are going on a co-headlining tour with this year. They’re also doing one with longtime peers Taking Back Sunday that hits amphitheaters across the US and Canada this summer, and that one’s a great triple bill with support from another (comparatively newer) lifer band with roots in the emo scene, Foxing. The tour hits iconic venues like Red Rocks and LA’s Greek Theater, and it includes a NYC-area show at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on August 29. Tickets go on sale Friday (1/17) at 10 AM local with presales beforehand. All dates are listed below.
Along with the tour announcement, Coheed have released the third single from their upcoming album The Father of Make Believe. “Someone Who Can” is a propulsive power pop song that finds Coheed dabbling in some ’80s Springsteen vibes, and here’s what Claudio Sanchez says about it: “When you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.” The song comes with a Mason Mercer-directed video set in Coheed’s hometown of Nyack, New York. Check it out below.
Taking Back Sunday are fresh off playing their annual holiday shows, which saw them reuniting on stage with former guitarist/co-vocalist Fred Mascherino, and they also recently parted ways with longtime drummer Mark O’Connell.
Foxing recently released their self-titled fifth album, which was one of our favorite albums of 2024.
