Diamonds International named Platinum Partner for Seatrade Cruise Global retail sessions

INTERNATIONAL. Leading tax- and duty-free jeweller Diamonds International has been named as a Platinum Partner for the retail sessions at Seatrade Cruise Global.

Seatrade Cruise Global runs from 7-10 April 2025 at Miami Beach Convention Center and is the premier annual gathering of the cruise industry worldwide.

The Retail Days – a series of conference sessions dedicated to retail at sea – take place on 8-9 April, co-organised by The Moodie Davitt Report.

Diamonds International was established over 30 years ago. From one store in St. Thomas the company today operates at more than 125 locations, with a strong focus on serving cruise guests across the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska.

Diamonds International last year partnered with Princess Cruises to unveil its luxury boutique onboard the cruise company’s latest Sphere Class ship, Sun Princess

Diamonds International Chief Commercial Officer Elchonon Shagalov said: “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to redefining what’s possible in luxury cruise retail. We’re eager to engage with our peers and share our insights at such a transformative event.”

Starboard Cruise Services President & CEO Lisa Bauer (second left), LVMH Beauty Managing Director Travel Retail Americas André Marzloff (second right) and Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Guest Commerce & Onboard Revenue Luis Terife (right) addressed innovation and partnership in conversation with Dermot Davitt (left) at the 2024 event

In April 2024, a full day of retail-related programming took place for the first time at Seatrade Cruise Global, and was well attended by cruiselines, concessionaires and brand owners. Starboard was a Platinum Partner at that event.

The attention to onboard retail reflects the importance of the channel to cruiseline revenues and its role in enhancing the guest experience.
