RX Bandits leader and The Sound of Animals Fighting guitarist Matt Embree is releasing a new solo album, Orion, on March 7 via Born Losers Records (pre-order). First single “Summer House Savior” is out now, and if you like when RX Bandits simultaneously dive into psych, prog, and dub, you’ll probably like this too. It comes with an appropriately trippy video, and you can check that out below.
RX Bandits are also doing another leg of their extended 20th anniversary tour for The Resignation this year, including a NJ show on March 13 at Asbury Lanes, and a non-Resignation show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg (3/14) the next night. That one’s a “fan pick” setlist. Both shows will be opened by Zeta, who kicked off the year with their great new album Was It Medicine To You?, also released by Born Losers. All dates here.
