“The Last of Us” Season 1 Infects SteelBook 4K UHD in March

The first season of “The Last of Us” will be released on SteelBook 4K Ultra HD on March 18, giving viewers the opportunity (re)watch it before the second season premieres in April.

Based on Naughty Dogs’ 2013 survival horror video game, the acclaimed HBO series is created by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckmann.

In the show, “20 years after a parasitic fungus ravages the planet and turns humans into violent predators, hardened survivor Joel is hired by a group of freedom fighters to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What should be a quick job soon becomes a brutal journey across the post-apocalyptic country, where no one can protect Joel and Ellie but each other.”

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey star in “The Last of Us” with Anna Torv, Lamar Johnson, Melanie Lynskey, Nico Parker, Merle Dandridge, Keivonn Woodard, Jeffrey Pierce, John Getz, Gabriel Luna, and Rutina Wesley.

Pascal, Ramsey, Luna, and Wesley are set to return in Season 2 alongside newcomers Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, and Danny Ramirez.
