PS5 system firmware update 25.01-10.60.00 patch notes (January 23, 2025)
Complete patch notes for the update are as follows:
- We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
Sony hasn’t said when it’ll remove the temporary PlayStation 30th anniversary boot screen and UI themes, but they’re safe for now. Do note, however, that those are likely to be removed via a system feature update — the same way they were added — as opposed to a system software patch.
Players have been begging to Sony to let them keep the boot screen and themes permanently, and while we don’t see a good reason for the company to take them away, we won’t be too surprised if the feature unceremoniously disappears.
But this is all we have for update 25.01-10.60.00 for now. If there’s anything more to the update than what we’ve shared above, we’ll make sure to update our readers.
