Kennedy Confirms Star Wars: Starfighter Shoots This September In London

I mean, we kinda knew this roughly, but Kathleen Kennedy confirms Star Wars: Starfighter shoots this September in London. We knew it was London and this ‘Fall’ but not that production would begin by September. Kennedy also confirmed that director Shawn Levy was in London prepping for the shoot. 

Lucasfilm president (outgoing) Kathleen Kennedy was in London herself for the same reason. Though, whilst she was there, she also brought a rare prize over to show the BFI. The first cut film of Star Wars, unedited in any way. Before showing off the film to a small audience, Kennedy talked about that rare cut, the legacy of Star Wars and a little of the future. However towards the end, around the 6 minute mark, Kennedy talks the future. 

“Then we have Shawn Levy who’s here (London) prepping right now with Starfighter. So, that will be shotting in September, which is one of the reasons I’m here and we’re very excited about that, with Ryan Gosling. We’re just putting together the cast, it’s gonna be pretty great.”

“I’m not gonna tell you anything else.”

Gosling remains the only actor confirmed, though we do have some more names from rumors which are not yet confirmed officially. Plus, trade reports, like Mia Goth (see above). I expect the casting process is currently part of what Levy is prepping in London.
