Full Trailer: The New “The Naked Gun”

Following yesterday’s poster, Paramount Pictures has premiered the full-length trailer for its part reboot and part revival of “The Naked Gun” franchise.

The new comedy will see Liam Neeson star in the film as Detective Frank Drebin and Paul Walter Hauser as his partner Ed – the pair playing the sons of Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy’s characters who just happen to have the same names.

Also onboard are Pamela Anderson as femme fatale Beth who seeks justice for her brother’s murder, Kevin Durand amd Danny Houston as the villains, CCH Pounder as the Police Chief along with Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu in supporting roles.

“Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers” writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand are reuniting with that film’s director Akiva Schaffer on the project with the trailer hinting at a mix of comedy stylings, action elements and more.

Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing the new film which has set an August 1st cinema release.

The original late 1980s/early 1990s trilogy of movies made over $476 million at the box office and to this day remain beloved by several generations.
