Beats Expands Its Accessory Lineup With New Charging Cables

Beats by Dre may be best known for its iconic headphones and speakers, but the Apple-owned audio brand is officially branching into a new product category: charging cables. With the debut of Beats Cables, the company aims to bring its signature mix of bold style and reliable performance to the accessory space – and yes, they’re more than just colorful cords.

Three USB-C cables in red, black, and beige—each featuring braided textures and unique connector designs—are displayed against a white background, offering durability and style that pair perfectly with your Beats devices.

Beats Cables aren’t your average charging wires. Designed with both aesthetics and durability in mind, these cables come in four signature colors – Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red – making them stand out from the sea of generic black-and-white offerings typically found online.

Four colored cords—black, blue, beige, and red—are intertwined in a geometric pattern against a plain, light background, evoking the rhythmic movement of beats.

They’re also available in two practical lengths: a short 20cm version ideal for on-the-go use with battery packs or in tight spaces, and a standard 1.5-meter length for everyday charging at your desk or bedside. For those who want a little extra value, two-packs are also available for select configurations.

Built with a braided nylon sleeve, Beats Cables are both soft to the touch and highly resistant to tangling, kinks, and fraying. Reinforced strain relief at key connection points helps prevent breakage over time – an upgrade over many cheaper cables that wear out with regular use.

The cables support charging, syncing, streaming, and data transfer for a variety of devices, including Android and Apple products. While not Thunderbolt-level, the cables support USB 2.0 data transfer speeds, which is sufficient for most everyday tasks.

The cables are available in several key configurations to suit nearly every user:

USB-C to USB-C: Ideal for modern Android phones, iPads, Macs, Beats headphones and speakers. Supports up to 60W fast charging, audio streaming, and data transfer. 1.5m cables are available in Bolt Black, Surge, Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red, while the 20cm comes in Bold Black.

USB-A to USB-C: Compatible with legacy USB-A power sources and works with CarPlay, syncing, and up to 15W charging on select devices. 1.5m cables are available in Bolt Black, Surge, Stone, and Rapid Red, while the 20cm comes in Bold Black.

USB-C to Lightning: Made for iPhones and older iPads with Lightning ports. Supports fast charging on compatible models and works with CarPlay and syncing. 1.5m cables are available in Bolt Black, Surge, Stone, and Rapid Red, while the 20cm comes in Bold Black.

Beats is also taking steps toward sustainability. The cables ship in packaging made from 100% plant-based material sourced from recycled fiber and responsibly managed forests – aligning with Apple’s broader environmental goals.

While Beats Cables bring plenty of style and solid functionality, they also come at a premium. Competing cables with similar specs can be found for less online, but they won’t carry the Beats name – or the bold color choices that give these accessories their standout appeal.

Beats Cables are priced at $18.99 for single cables (either 20cm or 1.5m) and $34.99 for select two-packs (both USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C). They can be purchased at beatsbydre.com.
