“Fantastic Four: First Steps” NBA Finals Promo

Marvel Studios released a new teaser promo for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” during the NBA Western Conference Finals.

The clip sees Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) making their way to the top of the Baxter Building, where Ben Grimm and H.E.R.B.I.E. are preparing dinner.

Johnny is so keen to see the game he considers “flaming on” to fly ahead of his teammates. It was hoped the clip was a tease for a new and longer look at the film tonight, but that didn’t end up being the case.

Meanwhile former “Doctor Who” and “Broadchurch” star David Tennant has revealed he wanted the Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic role. Appearing at a panel conversation at MCM Comic Con in London, Tennant was asked if there’s an MCU role he would have liked to have. He says:

“In terms of superheroes, I don’t know, I did slightly have my eye on Reed Richards, and unfortunately, it looks like they’ve gone in a different direction. Although if it has to be someone, I’m happy for it to be Pedro Pascal, frankly.”

Tennant has already appeared in Marvel, playing the mind-controlling villain Kilgrave in the first season of “Jessica Jones”. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” film opens in cinemas July 25th.
