Some Marvel slate changes have been revealed and it means both Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are delayed. Doomsday is now scheduled for December 18, 2026. Secret Wars will arrive on December 17, 2027.
As per Variety’s coverage there are other changes to the Marvel slate. The Feb. 13 2026 date has been removed from Disney’s schedule entirely. Whilst, the Nov. 6, 2026 and Nov. 5, 2027 dates, which had been set as “Untitled Marvel” features, have been changed to simply “Untitled Disney” films.
I guess one big question is going to be how this affects Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

The Spidey sequel is still set for July 31, 2026. This now means the film will I’ll come out before Doomsday instead of after it as initially planned.
If the film is unrelated to Doomsday or acts as a prequel to it, no issue. But we did hear rumors that the film was set concurrently with Doomsday and alternatively, that it acts as a direct sequel. If that were the case, then you don’t need me to tell you it could end up not coming out till Summer 2027. However, that is all rumor and for now all we know is that there’s no date change revealed by Sony for Brand New Day. For now the Sony led Spider-Man film is the only MCU movie we know of coming in 2026 until Doomsday hits in December.
That film is still scheduled to begin filming this August far as we know. Whereas Doomsday is of course filming now? Were the delays due to some of the cast not signing deals yet as per the rumors? Or did Marvel just realise after filming began that they weren’t going to make it?
