Finnair has today implemented another module for selling miles, “Subscribe to Avios,” which allows its frequent fliers to have miles deposited into their accounts monthly.

The price varies between 1.8 and 1.17 cents per Avios, depending on which package you sign up for and whether you choose monthly or yearly payment.
Conclusion
If you take the yearly package, you are essentially giving Finnair an unsecured loan. The Avios are deposited into your account monthly, and you have no idea what award availability and pricing will be in 12 months.
These Avios subscriptions allow you to buy more than the yearly cap of 200K.
But remember that you can link your various Avios accounts (BA/QR/IB/AY) through BA and move Avios freely between them, as there are no limits or costs associated with this.
Finnair’s award flight booking platform is very limited when it comes to partners, and the pricing is usually significantly higher than booking through British Airways or Qatar Airways. Luckily, you can link the accounts and book through BA/QR, which offers a better experience.
This “Subscribe to Avios” module is provided to Finnair by Points, which has a similar subscription product adopted by several other airlines, such as Air France-KLM and British Airways.
I am sure that Finnair will soon also launch Avios Booster that allows members to “boost” (read buy even more Avios) their recently earned Avios at a price.
The price of Avios through the yearly subscription is reasonable, but you need to wait 12 months before you have all the miles in your account that you paid TODAY.

When will I receive the Avios to my Finnair Plus account?
The posting date is the day you subscribed. For example, if you subscribe to Avios on 1 February, the posting day of your subscribed Avios will always be the first day of the month. Please note that after subscribing, it may take up to 72 hours for Avios to be added to your account.
Can I subscribe to more than one subscription package at the same time?
You may subscribe to only one subscription package at a time. If you wish to change your subscription package, you must first cancel your current subscription, after which you can select a new subscription package.
When will I be charged?
For the first month, you will be charged on the day you subscribe. For the following charges, you will be charged on the same day the subscription was made.
For example,
Monthly payment: if you subscribe on 1 January, the next charge is on 1 February.
Yearly payment: if you subscribe on 1 January, the next charge is on 1 January of the following year.
Please note that the first transaction can take up to 72 hours to go through.
If I subscribe to Avios, can I additionally buy Avios from Finnair Shop?
Yes, you can – there are no changes to buying Avios for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
In addition to your Avios subscription, you can buy yourself a maximum of 200,000 Avios in a calendar year. You can purchase between 1,000 and 200,000 Avios per calendar year for yourself in Finnair Shop.
On top of that, you can buy Avios as a gift for your friends and family. The combined amount of Avios that a Finnair Plus member can buy or receive per calendar year is 200,000 in addition to the amount received through subscription.
For example, if you have subscribed to 240,000 Avios and have additionally purchased 100,000 Avios for yourself, you can receive another 100,000 Avios as a gift.
Can I change my Avios Subscription?
An Avios Subscription cannot be paused or changed. If you wish to change your subscription package, you must first cancel your current subscription, after which you can select a new subscription package. Can I give an Avios Subscription as a gift to my friends or family?
Currently, it is possible to subscribe to Avios only for yourself.

Transactions
After subscribing, in the first month, Avios will be credited to your account within 72 hours.
If you enrol for a monthly subscription, payment and crediting of the Avios will recur on a monthly basis for as long as you are subscribed.
If you enrol for a yearly subscription, a one-time charge will be made to your credit card for a one-year subscription, and crediting of the Avios will recur on a monthly basis. Your subscription will renew automatically in one year.
Price includes all applicable fees.
GST/HST/QST is charged to Canadian residents.
All charges for purchases and related handling fees will appear with the description “Finnair Points by PTS” on your credit card statement.
Please note that once purchased, your subscription package cannot be paused, upgraded, or downgraded, and Avios cannot be refunded except within the 14-day cooling-off period. To cancel your Avios Subscription, visit My Subscription Account.
Always inquire/research whether buying and using Avios is the most beneficial for your desired reward.
Cooling Off Right
All subscriptions are subject to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of the initial subscription purchase. During this period, members can withdraw and receive a full refund, provided no deposited Avios have been used. This means that you need to have a minimum equal amount of deposited Avios in your Finnair Plus account. A full refund of the original purchase price will be issued to you, and the equal amount of Avios deposited into your Finnair Plus account from the subscription will be deducted from your Finnair Plus account.
To request a refund, please contact Finnair Plus customer service. We’ll process your refund as soon as possible.
Refunds
Except for withdrawals during the 14-day cooling-off period, all subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. Avios already deposited remain in the subscriber’s Finnair Plus account.
Cancellation Policy
The minimum commitment period for a monthly subscription is 3 months. For a yearly subscription, the minimum commitment period is 12 months. For cancellations during the minimum commitment period, the subscription remains active and will continue to receive all Avios associated with the subscription package until the end of the applicable period.
Eligibility
Avios do not count towards qualification for tier status in the Finnair Plus program.
Finnair Plus reserves the right to change the pricing and terms of the Avios Subscription at any time.
All Members are eligible to purchase the following packages: 24,000 Avios in a year, 48,000 Avios in a year, 120,000 Avios in a year and 240,000 Avios in a year.
