Over the weekend, a build of Firewalk Studios’ delisted first-person shooter Concord was leaked. Titled FWChaos, the build seems to be from November 14, 2023, nine months before its official launch in August 2024.

Can PS5 players play Concord with this leaked build?

According to Video Games Chronicle, the leaked Concord build does appear to be authentic. When loading the game, a login screen appears but can’t be bypassed. However, included in the build is a file that allows users to use the developer menu. When this is used, the game loads to the Select Freegunner screen instead.

Unfortunately, most of this leaked Concord build seems functionless at face value due to its online nature, but it does seem players can get to the Main Menu of the game, where they can enter other menus. This includes an unfinished Galactic Guide, the Crew section, the Job board, and the Settings menu. Much of this is unfinished, but it’s neat to see some of its features, like the Galactic Guide, which includes information about the game’s worlds.

With all that being said, it does not seem like PS5 players can play Concord through this leaked build.

Concord was released for PS5 back in August 2024. It is a team hero shooter similar to games like Overwatch. Just a couple of weeks after its launch, Sony shut down its servers and delisted the game from the PS Store. Firewalk Studios was shut down shortly after.

Concord was just the beginning of Sony’s PlayStation live-service woes. Earlier this year, insider Jeff Grubb had stated that Concord’s troubled launch caused Sony to reassess their projects across the board. This led to the company cancelling several projects, including unannounced games from Bluepoint Games and Bend Studio.

Recently, Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter Marathon was delayed.
