Marvel Rumor Roundup: Ghost Rider To Lead Midnight Suns – Hercules Project – Jeremy Allen White | Barside Buzz

Today’s Barside Buzz has Ghost Rider to lead (back in development) Midnight Suns movie, a Hercules project and Marvel wants Jeremy Allen White. The information all comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. Let’s begin with the Midnight Suns movie, which Daniel says is now back in development after being put on hold. However, whilst we all expected Blade to lead that team, Daniel says he’s heard the still to be cast Ghost Rider is being lined up as the lead of Midnight Suns.

If we go by rumors, then Marvel are trying to cast Ghost Rider for Doomsday/Secret Wars. Therefore, he may actually appear on screen before Mahershala Ali’s Blade does. I guess the question is, does Midnight Suns become Blade’s debut, or will his solo film be out first?

Next up today, Daniel says he’s heard a Hercules project is being worked on over at Marvel. Hercules, played by Brett Goldstein, first appeared only as a post-credit tease within Thor: Love and Thunder. Since then, we’ve heard zip and I kinda didn’t expect to either. At one point I could have seen him show up in Thor 5, but I actually thought that little tease would just be rug swept by Marvel.

I’ll be surprised is Hercules gets his own solo outing, whether a movie, or a series.

Lastly today Daniel says Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) is being courted for a role by Marvel Studios. Not too surprising considering the success of The Bear. Let’s hope the actor can do better than a CGI Hutt like his role in The Mandalorian and Grogu, but we’ll see. Marvel does this with a lot of stars, and they don’t all turn into roles.

Marvel needs to be doing less future planning for roles that don’t exists yet. When a movie is in development, cast it.
