The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker was performing in Montreal, Canada on Tuesday (May 20) as part of her ongoing ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ tour, and was about to launch into ‘Wherever, Whenever’ before losing her balance and falling on stage.
The moment quickly went viral, with the singer even sharing a clip of it on her Instagram stories. Many took note of her quick recovery, which saw her effortlessly roll onto the floor and turn the gaffe into adapted choreography.
“She is a rockstar with great presence of mind,” wrote one fan on TikTok, while another added that she was “so professional” for carrying on without pause. The fall has followed what has so far proved to be a turbulent tour, which has seen various gigs cancelled.
