Indie-co-op game Peak has surprised everyone by selling a million copies in under a week.

Released last week, “Peak is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom.”

“Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its centre. Do you have what it takes to reach the Peak,” says the game’s description. “You’ll need to rely on your friends to have any hope of scaling the mountain, which changes each time you play. Help each other up ledges, or place ropes and climbing spikes to make the way easier for those who come after.”

Taking to social media, developers have now confirmed Peak has sold more than a million copies in just six days. Responding to the news, publisher Aggro Crap wrote: “Why did this stupid jam game sell more copies than [previous release] Another Crab’s Treasure. I’m gonna crash out.”
