‘Bride of Re-Animator’ 4K Restoration in the Works for Early 2026 Release

Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures, the team behind the recent Re-Animator restoration, are working on a new 4K edition of Bride of Re-Animator for an early 2026 release.

“Following the success of our Re-Animator 40th Anniversary release, Bride will rise again in early 2026 with a brand-new 4K restoration,” the companies announced. “Expect a deluxe collector’s edition packed with exclusive bonus features and all-new surprises for longtime fans.”

Re-Animator producer Brian Yuzna steps into the director’s chair for the 1990 sequel, written by Zeph E. Daniel (Society) and Rick Fry (Society).

Jeffrey Combs returns to star as Herbert West alongside Bruce Abbott, Claude Earl Jones, Fabiana Udenio, David Gale, and Kathleen Kinmont.

Taking place eight months after the Miskatonic massacre, Doctors West and Cain are experimenting again. But this time, instead of reanimating corpses, they’ve decided to create new life — in the form of a beautiful companion (from spare body parts, of course) for Dr. West.

Ignite and Eagle Rock’s Re-Animator restoration screens this Thursday, May 22, at Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas, TX with Comes and Abbott in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.
