“Fantastic 4” Has Direct “Avengers” Link

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige says the upcoming “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be essential viewing ahead of next year’s “Avengers: Doomsday”.

Feige attended CineEurope this week in Barcelona to tease the film about Marvel’s first family and was asked about how it connects to next year’s mega-blockbuster.

Feige wouldn’t go into much detail, only confirming that it will “lead directly” into the start of “Avengers: Doomsday” which is currently in production reports CBM.

As previously reported, actors Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn will reprise their roles in the new “Avengers” film, while a toy report this weekend seemed to confirm that the group’s H.E.R.B.I.E. robot will be tagging along with them.

It also follows on from a Variety report that suggests a sequel to the new “Fantastic Four” is already in development, with Pascal ‘liking’ a social media link touting the report.

“Fantastic Four: The First Steps” is set to open in cinemas on July 25th.
