Resort World Las Vegas, the entertainment complex with three different Hilton Hotels, has announced it will waive all resort fees for the summer season through September 11th for direct bookings.

The amount of resort fees is rather high when it comes to either property, the Hilton, the Conrad, or the Crockford, but it’s important to note that this offer is not valid for third-party bookings such as Amex FHR or Expedia.

You can access this offer on the Resorts World Las Vegas website here.

Under all other bookings, the hotels will continue to charge US$55 + tax daily in resort fees, which can add up substantially if you stay several days.

Here is the offer for the Hilton Las Vegas at Resorts World:

And the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World:

I checked if the Crockfords shows up with resort fees on Amex FHR:

Crockfords – the only remaining Amex FHR hotel at the resort – requires you to pay resort fees when booking through a third party, so there is really no incentive to do this anymore.

You can book these offers without a resort fee through the Hilton website as well:

However, I’m currently not able to see Impresario rates (Hilton’s premium travel advisor program) at the Hotels without the resort fee. Maybe your luxury travel advisor can tell you if you’re able to combine that.

This will definitely put pressure on other resorts in Las Vegas to maybe drive their own marketing campaigns during the summer when it’s traditionally tough to sell out your hotels as temperatures rise significantly.

For many travelers, it’s simply too hot to go there in July/August, and even right now, it’s already scorching.

Conclusion

The offer to waive all resort fees is obviously driven by the fact that the summer months are notoriously difficult to fill up the hotels, and RWLV has suffered from a lack of business either way in the past few years.

In the summer, visitors who come to Vegas want, at the very least, an exciting swimming pool landscape, and unfortunately, that’s yet another area where Resorts World (IMHO) is lacking in substance.

The resort used to be pretty popular with bookings through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, but those count as third-party bookings and are not exempt from the resort fee; you have to book directly with them through the website. Also, the Crockfords is the only FHR hotel left, the Conrad is no longer in the system.
