“Fantastic Four” Pre-Sales, Feige Teases Mystery

Ticketing service Fandango (via CBR) reports that Disney’s latest Marvel Studios film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has exceeded all 2025 film titles in first-day advanced ticket sales after the title made tickets available this week.

How long it will hold that record though isn’t clear as “Superman” is set to launch its ticket sales next week. The 130-minute film has the longest runtime of any “Fantastic Four” movie and is the MCU’s longest film since “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” in 2023.

“THUNDERBOLTS” SPOILERS AHEAD

The news comes as Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has spoken with Empire about the movie and hinted that the tie-in end credits stinger of “Thunderbolts”/”The New Avengers” may not be what it appears on the surface.

The scene appeared to show the Fantastic Four’s rocket arriving on Earth in the main MCU, but Feige dropped the cryptic tease: “Well, the name of their ship is the Excelsior, and there is a Fantastic Four ship entering the MCU in the tag, but I’m not sure they’re the same ship.”

This has led to obvious speculation over the possibilities of who is onboard that ship when it will arrive in presumably “Avengers: Doomsday”.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” opens in cinemas on July 25th.
