This Robotic Vacuum Replenishes Its Water Tank Using Air Moisture
The 3i S10 Ultra Robot Vacuum is high-tech in all kinds of ways – and it can even replenish its water tank using moisture in the air.

The mission of modern robotic vacuums is simple: eliminate as much household labor as possible. Many high-end models now do far more than just vacuum – they mop, refill their own water tanks, clean their mop pads, and even manage dirty water. But the next frontier may be eliminating the need to manually refill water tanks entirely. Enter the S10 Ultra Robot Vacuum from 3i Tech, which features a unique water recycling system designed to make manual refills a thing of the past.
While some robotic vacuums can connect directly to a home’s plumbing for a constant water supply, those setups require professional installation and aren’t practical for every household. The S10 Ultra offers a more user-friendly alternative.
Its WaterRecycle system filters and purifies dirty mop water using a silver-ion distillation process, making it clean and reusable. And for any additional water needed, the vacuum’s base station can extract moisture from the air to top off the tank – essentially creating water from humidity.
Created by Kevin Liu, Neil Lai, and Alen Chen, the S10 Ultra is packed with advanced features beyond water management. It includes a self-cleaning roller mop with 12 water outlets that continuously rinse the mop pad while in use. The mop spins at 330 rotations per minute and applies downward pressure, providing a deeper clean than models that rely on simple vibrations. It can also extend downward to reach edges, ensuring thorough cleaning.
With 13,000 Pascal suction power, the S10 Ultra ranks among the most powerful robotic vacuums available. It uses a combination of LiDAR and camera-based mapping for highly accurate navigation and obstacle avoidance.
Though 3i Tech isn’t a household name in the robotic vacuum market, the S10 Ultra shows it’s serious about innovation. Features like atmospheric water generation and a high-speed roller mop are either unique or still rare in the current offerings.
New technologies like these help move the entire category forward. If successful, innovations from the S10 Ultra could influence future models from more established brands.
The 3i S10 Ultra Robot Vacuum is available now on the 3i Tech website and at select retailers, including Amazon, with a price tag of $1,899.99, or $1399.99 for Amazon Prime members. It’s not inexpensive, but for those seeking a truly self-maintaining cleaning system, it could be a worthwhile investment.
