One of Them Days
A sequel to the hit Keke Palmer and SZA-led comedy “One of Them Days” is in early development at TriStar Pictures. Issa Rae produces the films while Lawrence Lamont directed the first which scored excellent reviews and grossed over $50 million worldwide. Palmer and SZA are expected to return for the new movie, along with the film’s original creative team, but plot details are under wraps. [Source: Variety]
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Tom Felton will reprise his “Harry Potter” film role as the now adult Draco Malfoy in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on Broadway.
Felton will join the show on November 11th for 19 weeks, through March 22nd 2026 – the first time an original “Harry Potter” cast member has joined the stage production of “Cursed Child”. [Source: THR]
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Paramount Pictures has released a clip showing a behind-the-scenes look at the burning parachute stunt in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”.
Cruise himself did the jump, involving a pre-soaked in fuel parachute that’s ignited mid-air, approximately sixteen times. The result is he broke the Guinness World Records title for “most burning parachute jumps by an individual.”
The Man in My Basement
Hulu has premiered the trailer for its new psychological thriller film “The Man in My Basement” based on the critically acclaimed 2004 novel by Walter Mosley. Mosley co-wrote the script with the film’s director Nadia Latif.
Corey Hawkins plays a Sag Harbor man who received a visit from a strange (Willem Dafoe) who bizarrely offers to rent out his basement for $1,000 a day for a total of 65 days – enough money to clear his debts for good. Anna Diop, Jonathan Ajayi, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr., Pamela Nomvete, and Tamara Lawrance co-star.
