Final Trailer For Jurassic World Rebirth – What Happened To This Franchise?

The final trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth is here and it makes me wonder what happened to this franchise? I mean, one could argue it went the same direction as a previous Spielberg begun monster movie franchise, Jaws. However, the trajectories are quite different.

Jaws got progressively worse and sillier, but as it did so the box office trailed off also. Jurassic World, which began as Jurassic Park has gotten progressively worse, and sillier as well. However, box office wise, this one still pulls in massive numbers. Numbers which encourage the studio to keep greenlighting progressively crazier films.

Cue this new reboot, and first we had trained Dinosaurs and hybrids. Now we’re at mutant Dinosaurs, T-Rex not scary enough, meet the Distortus Rex, described as combination between a T-Rex, a Rancor and a Xenomorph… I’m genuinely not kidding folks.

Or, you though Raptors were scary, what about… Flying Raptors!

How the hell they got ScarJo and Mahershala Ali in this I don’t know. Actually, I think I do know, and you know too. That’s another victim of the continued box office this franchise gets. This level of movie should be starring Z listers. Here’s that trailer.

Short synopsis

The final trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth is here and it makes me wonder what happened to this franchise?

The film was directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One [kinda]) and hits theatres July 2. Each film in the franchise has made over a billion at the box office. I haven’t paid for one of them since the third Jurassic Park film. I won’t be paying for this. Even then, I switched the last one off half way through TV when it was free.
