Finnair and the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT have reached a negotiation result in their collective labour agreement discussions concerning Finnair’s cabin crew. The agreement was concluded on 19 May, following negotiations that have been ongoing since December 2024.

The proposed agreement spans three years, with the third year marked as optional, and is now pending formal approval from the administrative bodies of both parties.

“I am very pleased that we have reached a result together through constructive discussion,” said Kaisa Aalto-Luoto, Chief People Officer at Finnair. “This lays a sound foundation on which we can build and shape a successful shared future.”

The agreement affects approximately 1,800 Finnair cabin crew members, who play a vital role in delivering customer service and ensuring passenger safety on board. Cabin crew service has consistently received high ratings in Finnair’s customer satisfaction surveys, underscoring their importance in the airline’s overall service delivery.

Further details of the agreement will be shared following ratification by both parties.
