‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ Season 1 Part 2 Limited Edition Blu-ray Arrives October

Award-Winning Anime Set to Launch with Collector’s Box Inspired by Frieren’s Suitcase

Crunchyroll has announced the highly anticipated North American home video release of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s EndSeason 1 Part 2, following its sweeping success at the 9th Annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The series, which took home Best Drama, Best Director (Keiichiro Saito), Best Background Art, and Best Supporting Character, will be available as both a standard and limited edition Blu-ray and DVD this fall.

The standard edition will arrive first, landing on September 23, and includes three collectible art cards showcasing beloved characters from the series.

But the real treasure for fans will be the Limited Edition box set, available October 21, designed to replicate Frieren’s iconic suitcase. This collector’s edition is packed with exclusive items, including:

• A 200-page art book filled with detailed artwork and behind-the-scenes material
• Three additional art cards featuring character pairings
• An acrylic standee of Frieren caught in a mimic trap
• A blue moon weed flower luggage tag
• Seven kiss-cut sticker sheets and seven shikishi art boards, spotlighting the central cast—Frieren, Himmel, Eisen, Heiter, Fern, Stark, and Sein

This premium suitcase-style gift box also includes extra room to store Season 1 Part 1, which was released on Blu-ray in December 2024 and is still available via the Crunchyroll Store. Fans who purchase the Limited Edition through the Crunchyroll Store will also receive an exclusive Frieren keychain, while supplies last.

Both versions of the Season 1 Part 2 release will include the full season plus exciting bonus content, such as:

• The mini anime “Magic of ??,” officially subtitled for the first time
• The special video “Frieren: Journey’s Memory”
• Textless opening and ending sequences
• Web previews and promotional videos

In Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, the story continues after the legendary party of heroes has defeated the Demon King. As the world moves on, the elven mage Frieren must come to terms with the fleeting nature of human life. Taking on a young apprentice, she sets out to fulfill promises made long ago and explore what it truly means to live and to remember.
