A couple of small Marvel Studios rumors have gone online in the past few days, ones interesting enough to be worth a mention.
The recent news of Marvel setting a release date for a fourth film in 2028 got a lot of coverage, including Variety where they indicate “Thunderbolts” director Jake Schreier has been “tapped” to helm the next “X-Men” film.
Though Schreier was rumored for the gig prior to this, some fans are treating this trade mention as confirmation.
Next, a new report at DanielRPK indicates Marvel Studios intends to change their focus in terms of the tone for their shows and movies.
Specifically, he says: “Shows will focus more on grounded level characters like the Defenders for Disney+, and movies will be reserved for major events.”
The scooper also claims Marvel Studios is considering developing a new “Jessica Jones” TV series, the talk coming ahead of actress Krysten Ritter’s return to the role in the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again”.
