You’re Invited to Play Fright-Rags ‘Thanksgiving’ Board Game

Get a head start on the fall festivities with the Thanksgiving: John Carver’s Carving Board Game from Fright-Rags.

Based on Eli Roth‘s Thanksgiving, the game is designed by Roth and Jon Cohn. It features cover art by Zachary Jackson Brown and a layout by Fright-Rags’ Joe Guy Allard.

3-12 players start by attending a department store Black Friday sale that quickly gets out of hand, with people horrifically dying in every aisle. But things go from bad to worse, because a killer wearing a John Carver mask is also on the loose murdering the townsfolk in droves.

Players are rewarded for dying… a lot! The player who dies the most is revealed to be John Carver, triggering a final battle between the rest of the players and the killer.

It includes a game board, die, Carver standee and clip, two Carver’s Carving cards, six Reference cards, one Round Counter token, six Character token holders, 44 Character tokens, 15 Drunk tokens, 100 Item cards, 50 Diner cards, 50 High School cards, 50 John Carver’s House cards, 50 Parade cards, 50 Right Mart cards, 50 McCarty’s Party cards, and 20 McCarty’s Trivia cards, and the rulebook.

Priced at $60, the game will ship the week of June 13.

In the 2023 film written by Jeff Rendell, a Thanksgiving-inspired killer picks off Plymouth, Massachusetts, residents one by one as part of a sinister holiday plan.
