"I'm not exactly a straight arrow..." Freestyle Digital Media has revealed the first official trailer for Guitar Lessons, an indie dramedy from Canada created by filmmaker Aaron James. Even though this originally opened in Canada back in 2022, it has never been given a proper US release until now - if anyone wants to catch up with it. Freestyle will be putting it on VOD this summer. In the film, a 15-year-old Metis boy and a cantankerous oilfield contractor learn to grow up together over guitar lessons. A coming-of-age story along with a tale about music bringing us together. Starring Corb Lund, Kaden Noskiye, Conway Kootenay, Lianna Makuch, and Roseanne Supernault. Guitar Lessons is a heartfelt comedy-drama about unlikely mentorship, reconciliation, and the transformative power of music. This looks quite sweet and amusing, as any good indie film should.
