Dead & Company detail Golden Gate Park shows w/ Sturgill Simpson, Billy Strings & Trey Anastasio Band

Earlier this month, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie revealed that Grateful Dead offshoot Dead & Company (Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, and Oteil Burbridge) would be celebrate 60 years of the Dead with three shows at Golden Gate Park this summer, and now they’ve been officially announced. They happen on Friday, August 1-Sunday, August 3, and three-day tickets go on sale Friday, May 30 at 10 AM PT, with an artist presale starting Wednesday, May 28 at 10 AM PT. Single-day tickets will be available at a later date, still tbd.

They’re picked some cool openers for these shows: Billy Strings (on Friday), Sturgill Simpson (on Saturday), and Trey Anastasio Band are billed for “75-minute special guest sets” to open each night, according to the press release.

Dead & Company wrapped up their 2025 Las Vegas Sphere residency last week, and they previously said those would be the only Sphere shows they play this year.

Billy Strings also recently announced a fall tour, including Newark, NJ shows at Prudential Center on November 14 and 15.
