PASSION PIT

Michael Angelakos has been playing Passion Pit solo shows that have featured “new songs from his upcoming record Nine Times Your Torch Song, reimagining old favorites, and delivering unexpected covers—all live, all heartfelt.” He’s added two more shows to the residency at NYC’s Deluxx Fluxx (June 4 & 5), as well as shows in Boston, Redmond, OR and a stop at Austin’s ACL Fest.

SOMOS

Boston indie-emo band Somos have been quiet since releasing their 2019 album Prison on a Hill but now they’re back! They just announced their first shows in years, happening in Boston, Brooklyn, Philly, and DC.

DEAD AND COMPANY

In celebration of The Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary, Dead and Company are playing three shows at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park in August with different openers each day (Billy Strings, Sturgill Simpson, Trey Anastasio Trio).

FAZERDAZE (OPENING FOR PIXIES/SPOON, HEADLINE DATES)

New Zealand’s Fazerdaze will be on tour with Pixies and Spoon this summer and has announced headline dates while here, including NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on September 21.

THE INTELLIGENCE / ALICE SANDAHL (EX LA LUZ)

It’s been a while since West Coast acid-damaged psych band The Intelligence toured the East Coast, but they’ll remedy that this summer with dates that include former La Luz keyboardist Alice Sandahl. Stops include Brooklyn’s P.I.T on June 13 and Tubby’s Kingston on June 14.

THE ARMED

The Armed will be on tour this summer and fall in support of their new album The Future Is Here and Everything Needs to Be Destroyed.

JULIA’S WAR FEST

Julia’s War Fest, the three-day Philly festival put on by label Julia’s War (run by They Are Gutting a Body of Water’s Douglas Dulgarian), happens at Philly’s Ukie Club on July 18, 19, and 20. TAGABOW aren’t on it, but it does include MSPAINT, Draag, Chanel Beads, NAH, Bad History Month, Worlds Worst, Fib, and more.

DAVE HILL

Comedian, guitar-shredder and occasional BrooklynVegan contributor Dave Hill is on tour now, with UK/EU dates in June, and then more US shows in July including Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Asbury Park’s White Eagle Hall on 7/30 .
