FAB Awards finalists roll-out continues with FAB-ulous marketing campaign, casual dining and lounge short lists
“The judging is incredibly tight in multiple categories but that is as it should be and we can promise therefore that the FAB Awards roll call of 2025 will offer a stellar collective representation of excellence and innovation,” says FAB Founder Martin Moodie.

SPAIN. With the 2025 Airport Food and Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards just 24 days away, The Moodie Davitt Report proudly reveals the next set of finalists ahead of the blockbuster awards ceremony at the FAB 2025 Gala Dinner in Barcelona on 26 June.
There are 23 categories in this year’s FAB Awards, which attracted a record-breaking number of entries. There will also be additional special judges’ awards.
In a change from previous years, all finalists will receive a FAB 2025 Order of Merit Award, alongside regional and global winners in some categories.
In certain of the evening’s premier categories, additional awards will be made according to size of airport (by passenger numbers) as well as an overall accolade.
Today’s awards spotlight continues with the announcement of the shortlists in three more categories: Airport Food & Beverage Marketing Campaign of the Year; Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year – Airport ≤20M passengers; and Airport Lounge of the Year.
The balance of finalists will be announced this week.
Commenting on the latest finalists, The Moodie Davitt Report Chairman and FAB Founder Martin Moodie said, “The standard of this year’s entries is undoubtedly the highest in FAB’s 14-year history, a new quality bar reflected across each ultra-competitive category.
“The FAB Airport Food & Beverage Marketing Campaign of the Year is a pre-eminent example, featuring some of the most brilliantly conceived and executed campaigns you will ever see in the airport world, often with spectacularly transformative results.
“Our decision to split certain awards by airport passenger volume has been well vindicated, notably in the FAB Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year category. Today we announce a compelling 12-strong finalists’ line-up for the under 20 million passenger category, including some of the best entries in the FAB Awards 2025.
“For FAB Airport Lounge of the Year, the extensive line-up of finalists reflects both a huge number of entries and also our decision to widen the field to all airport lounges. This is in line with the exciting launch of Airport Hospitality World, the latest addendum to our publishing platform and a major extension to FAB in 2026.
“The judging is incredibly tight across multiple categories but that is as it should be. We can promise therefore that the FAB Awards roll call of 2025 will offer a stellar collective representation of excellence and innovation.”
Note: The exciting FAB 2026 venue will be revealed during a special handover ceremony at the Gala Dinner for this year’s FAB in Barcelona. The combination of FAB plus Airport Hospitality World will see the event take on an additional exhibition element next year.
