The Fantastic Four: First Steps was at CCXP MX this weekend and we have a scene description [SPOILERS], plus Mole Man confirmed by star Joseph Quinn. Let’s begin with a scene description that came from a fan who attended the event this past weekend. This scene was shown to attendees, that’s confirmed.

WARNING – SPOILERS after the Poster!

“FRIENDS EXCLUSIVE SCENE!!!! SPECTACULAR! BREATHTAKING! The Quartet is inside their ship and Sue starts going into labor. But the Silver Surfer is chasing them. Ben takes over the ship and starts trying to dodge her. They jump into a kind of hyperspace. THE CGI IS GREAT. We see Reed stretching and using his powers. The Surfer almost reaches Sue’s belly. She wants the baby. Johnny takes over the ship’s cannons and tries to shoot the Surfer. He makes jokes about her being sexy. Meanwhile, Sue continues to have contractions. Reed tells Ben to go into a black hole. Ben gets worried. Reed tells him to trust. End of scene. EPIC! IT WAS CRAZY!”

That actually sounds pretty cool to if the FF are flying through hyperspace and flying into black holes and sh… stuff.

Meanwhile, at a panel for the main cast, Joseph Quinn confirmed Mole Man is in the film. This is a rumored name we’ve heard for some time. Most folks seem to think the character is played by Paul Walter Hauser.

“It’s a certainly a very stacked cast. We’ve got a lot of fantastic characters in there. There’s also Mole Man, who’s wonderful in it, but Galactus is the big bad.”

“He’s the big, evil, planet-gobbling space God. And he’s played brilliantly by the wonderful Ralph [Ineson]. Silver Surfer, played by the wonderful Julia Garner…we’re very lucky to work with her. She’s excellent in the film. There [are] lots of brilliant characters.”
