Second Trailer: “Heads of State”

Amazon Prime Video has released a second trailer for action-comedy “Heads of State” which re-teams “The Suicide Squad” co-stars Idris Elba and John Cena and chucks in both Jack Quaid and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in key supporting roles.

The story begins when the UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) have a very public rivalry that jeopardizes the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and the US.

When they become the targets of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary, who proves more than a match for the two leaders’ security forces, they are begrudgingly forced to rely on the only two people they can trust: each other.

Ultimately allied with brilliant MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must go on the run and find a way to work together long enough to thwart a global conspiracy that threatens the entire free world.

Peter Safran and Jack Richard produce, while Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, and Harrison Query are writing the screenplay.

Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle and Paddy Considine co-star in the film. Ilya Naishuller (“Nobody”) directs the movie which will be available to stream on July 2rnd.
