Samuel L. Jackson is heading to streaming, the actor will reportedly star in and executive produce a spin-off of the Sylvester Stallone-led “Tulsa King” series on the Paramount+ service.
Set in New Orleans and currently going by the title “NOLA King,” the series is currently in the works and will be set up via a guest starring appearance from Jackson in the upcoming third season of “Tulsa King”.
Jackson’s character is said to be similar to Stallone’s but further details about the overall premise, other characters, timeline, etc. are all under wraps, as are producer or showrunner names – Jackson seems to be the only attachment at this time.
The third season of “Tulsa King” is currently shooting in Atlanta and Oklahoma. Stallone stars as Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, a New York mobster who is exiled to Oklahoma by his former family after serving 25 years in prison. Once there, he quickly establishes himself in the criminal underworld and builds his own crew.
Taylor Sheridan created the series and serves as executive producer along with Stallone. Dave Erickson executive produces and serves as showrunner.
