Max Richter announces new album ‘Sleep Circle’ & shows (hear “Dream 11 /Moth-Like Stars Pt.2”)
“If ‘SLEEP’ provides the gateway to a full night’s sleep, ‘Sleep Circle’ provides the backdrop to a moment of complete deep sleep.” The album’s out September 5.

Max Richter is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his all-night Sleep album with a new album, Sleep Circle, and two London shows.
Sleep Circle will be out September 5 via Deutsche Grammophon, and was inspired by 2023 shows where he performed an abridged version of Sleep. The new album is described as “a hallucinatory 90-minute trip into the hypnagogic state – the time period when the brain transitions between a state of wakefulness and sleep and the state during which the individual dream.” The label adds, “If SLEEP provides the gateway to a full night’s sleep, Sleep Circle provides the backdrop to a moment of complete deep sleep.”
You can listen to “Dream 11 / Moth-Like Stars Pt.2” below. Deutsche Grammophon will also be reissuing the original CD version of Sleep. Preorder that and Sleep Circle here.
Max Richter will perform Sleep at London’s Alexandra Palace on September 5 & 6.
