Project 007 Gets New Title, Reveal Date Set

IO Interactive has shown off a bit more about its mysterious and highly anticipated James Bond video game, including revealing its official name and a new logo.

What is Project 007’s new title?

In a recent post on social media, IO Interactive revealed that it would be showing off more of the game sometime this week. As for now, though, the studio announced that the game would be titled 007: First Light. A new promo image for the game was also shown off, highlighting a mysterious James Bond, cloaked in shadow, with a single beam of light shining down behind him.

Currently, not much is known about 007 First Light. IO Interactive said that the game will have a full reveal “this week” during its own IOI Showcase on Friday, June 6, 2025. The reveal, according to IO Interactive, will “give a world premiere look at 007 First Light, featuring never-before-seen footage, and start a new era for James Bond in video games.”

The game remains cloaked in mystery for now. Originally announced in November 2020 as “Project 007,” the game is said to feature an entirely new story centered around James Bond, with players earning their status as a “00” agent. It’s unclear what video game consoles the game will be available on, but the website for the game states it will be available on “modern systems and platforms,” including the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
