PlayStation State of Play June 2025 livestream and what to expect

The buzz surrounding June’s State of Play has been fairly muted compared to past events. For starters, many were hoping for a full-fledged showcase after a two-year hiatus and a series of bad news and poor showings from PlayStation Studios. However, we have to settle for a show that “highlights a selection of great games from creators across the globe.”

In terms of rumors, again, there isn’t much going on this time. What we have been told to expect by insiders (take it with a grain of salt) is the appearance of the rumored new God of War spinoff game, Resident Evil 9 (not an official title) reveal, and possibly Silent Hill 2 DLC.

In terms of exclusives, we’re expecting to see Ghost of Yotei and some more of Death Stranding 2. Sony doesn’t have a lot to show beyond that. Definitely don’t expect to see Insomniac Games’ Wolverine at the show. And no, there is no Bloodborne 2.
