Reader Question:
If I have both the personal Amex Platinum and the Business Amex Platinum, should I receive a $100 property credit twice, if I book a fine hotels property Friday night with the Personal card and then a second night on Saturday with the business platinum?
Or would the property refuse to give me two $100 property credits despite both one night each with each card, and paying the annual fee on both cards.
The reader here refers to Fines Hotels + Resorts and/or The Hotel Collection bookings, which usually come with certain guaranteed benefits, such as 4 PM check-out + breakfast, and some that are based on availability, such as upgrades. Then, there is usually an on-property $100 F&B credit.
I looked at the T&Cs of both of these programs and only found the following part that could be applicable here:
American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke FHR benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with your FHR benefits.
And

I guess that booking back-to-back reservations, even if two different cards are used, would constitute one stay, and it is really up to the property if they want to extend the $100 credit twice.
The cleanest way to do this would be for Person 1 to book the first stay using their Amex PLT card and then for Person 2 to book the second stay or night and pay using theirs.
In this case, you may need to change the rooms during the stay, but getting the $100 for both reservations shouldn’t be an issue.
Conclusion
These rates, which come with a $100 credit, usually only make sense for one-night stays, or have every time I have checked them, as they are typically tied to booking Best Flex (read the highest one available), and there are usually lower ones available.
If you take into account the benefits that may come with the Amex or other consortia booking, this can make sense for a short stay, but rarely for a longer one, especially if you happen to have a status with the chain.
I once decided to extend a stay that came with the F&B credit, but on condition that they would apply another one for the second booking. I confirmed this with the hotel, and both parties were satisfied.
