Regardless of whether you’re in the market for a first time Costco membership, or looking to add another one to expand your 2% Executive member rebate capacity, Costco is currently offering a terrific promotion that could be very appealing.
For the next month, you can get a Costco membership that’s “free-ish” with a Groupon offer that gives you a $50 Costco card and a $100 coupon good on $200+ in online purchases when buying an Executive Membership for $130.
There’s also a deal available on a Costco Gold membership (that doesn’t include the 2% back on purchases), which gives you the $50 Costco card but no online coupon.
The Deals
Groupon is running a promotion when you buy a new Costco membership:

- Get a $50 Costco Shop Card and a $100 discount coupon on a $200 order at Costco.com when you buy a $130 Executive Membership

Quick Thoughts
The Executive Membership isn’t “free” because you have to spend money at Costco to use the gift card and the coupon, but for me that’s almost as good as cash.
If you’ve been thinking about joining Costco or if you’ve been looking to add a bit more space to your annual 2% rebate (like I am), this is a no-brainer opportunity to get off the fence and try it for a year.
If you are signing up for a second Executive Membership, make sure to use a different e-mail and phone number than what’s associated with your current one. Costco won’t let you use the same info on two memberships. You can have both a business and a personal account at the same address.
