Looking For Cool Cabinet Hardware?? Etsy Is A New Source And Here’s Where We’ve Used Them (+ 34 New Finds!)

There are two things we love over here — cabinet hardware and Etsy. And after talking about it, the river house is full of hardware from Etsy, so we thought, why not do a little deep dive and roundup? I myself have also bought knobs that I’ve loved from Etsy that I’ll show you in a bit. There is just truly an endless amount of really cool options in basically every style. Plus, there’s a ton of vintage too. So today I’m going to do a little show and tell of a handful of projects we’ve used cabinet hardware from Etsy, and then show you a bunch more I really loved. But before we get into the pretty stuff, here’s a post with some educational stuff! It’s all about where to place your hardware, which will really help inform you of what kind/size you’ll want to get for how you want your placement. Here’s a little graphic to give you a quick crash course:

You’re an expert now. Ready to shop? Me too.

Of course, when you first look at this room, that soothing paint color is the first thing you notice, but right after that, it’s those beautiful cabinet handles! The mix of the light wood and the little brass details makes a big yet quiet design statement. They just couldn’t be more perfect for this space and the overall design of the home. And how cute are the little knobs?!

Solid Wood Cabinet Pulls and Drawer Knobs

What’s even better is how affordable they are. Em chose the beech wood and those smaller knobs start at $4!! That’s such a good deal, especially for being so pretty. I also think that since the shape and materials are so simple that these are very versatile stylewise. Plus, having a wood handle is a really nice departure from the all-metal ones you see everywhere.

There are a few more rooms in the river house that got the Etsy hardware treatment, and one of them is the family. I know this is just a move-in photo, but those black wood handles are looking real good. They are also under $10 each!

Natural Oak Walnut Wood Pulls Handles

Choosing a wood handle or knob, instantanly adds so much visual texture to a space while softening it at the same time. If you are wanting to add more of an organic feel to your home, this is such an easy way that doesn’t require any renovating:)

Suprise! Same handles, different wood tone, with an additional little modern knob that looks so cute. I absolutely adore how the hardware is off to the right corner. It’s so simple but also feels fresh.

And because why end a good thing — here they are in the black oak. I also think this shot shows their shape a bit better, too.

Natural Oak Walnut Wood Pulls Knobs

But in case you really wanted to see those knobs up close, here they are! Modern but not boring or stark.

In my last rental, I knew the kitchen knobs it came with would not do. Ugly, plastic, and cheap. See ya! I searched a ton and ended up with these really great mid-century modern-inspired black metal ones. I wanted something with a slightly more interesting shape, that visually popped (hence the black metal), was simple, and easy to physically grab. Check, check, and check!

1″ Large Mid-Century Modern Knob

But if black doesn’t work in your space, they come in 6 other metals. I’m pretty sure they were cheaper when I bought mine in 2019, as most everything, so these are at $13 per piece. You bet I took mine with me:)

Then my most recent hardware purchase were these micro black metal ball knobs. The wood and metal ones are vintage from a store in LA, but they didn’t have enough. I thought, “No problem, I’ll supplement”. Well, this is where I landed. Now, this wonderfully sentimental cabinet that my dad and I made together isn’t ummm perfect, but I do really love the knobs and if you are looking for a micro knob these are so cute. I just wouldn’t put them on anything you need to access all of the time (which luckily, I didn’t) because they are pretty tiny and not totally effortless to grab.

Micro Drawer Knobs

They come in more sizes and colors if you like them too! They start at $3 but don’t pass $6 each, which is a great price.

Now, onto the newer finds:)

Hand Crafted Iroko Drawer Handle | Long Wardrobe Handle

Starting off strong with these really cool but elegant wood handles. I’m pretty in love with the two-tone wood ones on the left. They really give me modern MCM, Japanese minimalism, or even organic brutalism. Pricewise, they range from $13 to $19, depending on how long you want them. Then for the beauts on the right, I love this all wood version of the ones Em got for the river house. They are a bit more expensive since the smallest size is almost two feet long, but if you have the budget, they look very much worth it.

Wooden Knob | Solid Wood Handles and Knobs

For those looking for handles that are a little more rounded on the edges, look no further. The ones on the left are a bit more playful, while the ones on the right feel more modern/sophisticated. But regardless of which you love more, they are both under $10 each. Also, not for nothing, I really like those tapered wooden knobs.

Modern Cabinet Handle | Minimalist Cabinet Knobs and Handles

Both of these are giving “modern craftsman,” and I couldn’t pinpoint why. It’s just a feeling in my gut:) The straight lines and subtle details also might be contributing, ha. I’m finding I’m a sucker for a wood/metal combo so the ones on the left really speak to me for the reason. But I like that the handle is so simple and rectangular with round metal covers. A perfect shape contrast, if you will. Then, for the handles on the right, I just think they are so pretty. The wood grain is perfect, and they look SO much more expensive than they are, which maxes out at $7 for the largest size. I’m less in love with the knobs but of course think with with right style could be awesome.

Semicircle Pulls | Wood Ball Cabinet Pulls

When you think of a wooden knob you might not think “oooh exciting!” Well, think again y’all because how cute are these wooden knobs?! So many options, all GREAT, and all at great prices. Truly something for anyone looking for a wooden knob.

Wooden Cylindrical Cabinet Knob with a Groove | Leather and Wooden Ring Drawer Knob

Well, wait. Here are two more VERY fun options to add to the list. I love that typically I see the shape of the ones on the left in metal, but it’s just as cute in wood! They come in a bunch of different lengths, too. Then how fun are these wood and leather ring pulls?! Not sure if they’d be ideal for an everyday piece, but for an accent piece that you don’t have to open multiple times a day, perfect!

Nordic Wood Knob | Round Drawer Handle

More material mixing! I really love those wood ball and brass knobs because they work with so many styles! They can soften a more traditional room, class up a more casual space, or just be an eclectic choice in almost any other type of room. Oh, and they are only $6 each. For the knobs on the right, they are perfect MCM knobs and you can choose from black or brass as your metal base. They just look cool but not like they are trying to be cool, you know? They are $7 each.

Brass & Leather Pulls | Natural Rattan Woven Hand Brass Handle

Now, let’s talk about some other material combos. How pretty are these leather and knurled brass handles? I think they’re both elegant and soft. Texture for days. Well, actually, if you want to talk texture, then these woven rattan handles have that covered, maybe even more. Either of these could work with any style from cool glam to modern organic. They both will give you a ton of visual texture and eye candy.

Leather and Wood Drawer Handle | Leather Drawer Handle

Both of these are definitely on the pricier side — the ones on the left start at $52 and the all-leather ones on the right start at $31. But here’s the thing: if they do work within your budget and with your style, they are so sick and would be an incredible decor choice. Actually, the STUNNING house we stayed at for our retreat the other week had similar, if not the same, handles as the one on the right, and they were so amazing in person.

Solid Brass Cabinet Handles and Knobs | Matte Gold Ball Finial Cabinet Hardware

Brass but not basic:) If you want brass cabinet hardware but want it to have a little flair, these could be the match for you. The ones on the left are a more streamlined classic flair, while the ones on the right are even more unique and detailed (cute!). It’s obviously up to you and what would look best in your home.

Bronze Brass Bar Handle with Wide Base/Knurled Texture | Golden Knurled Cabinet Handles

A little bit about me is that while I’ve never owned any knurled hardware, it’s maybe my favorite kind. I know it doesn’t make sense that I currently don’t have any, but I can guarantee that someday I will have at least one room with some knurled hardware in it. I just love the texture, and it feels both modern and vintage at the same time. These two options are both so pretty. I’m a bit more partial to the ones on the left (of course, they are the more expensive ones), but the bright gold ones on the right are also extremely good. I’d be happy with either:)

Teardrop Drawer Pull | Modern Antique Copper Brass Cabinet Knob

If you know my style, I’m sure that it’s no surprise I love both of these. The teardrop polished nickel knob is an affordable McCobb replica and is just awesome. I could easily see this in my bathroom. Then, for a less affordable but extremely cool modern metal option, is this antique copper brass knob. My love for a darkened brass/bronze is still going strong, so it’s not just the shape I love.

Vintage Silver Pulls | Aged Brass Handles & Knobs

Modern, then right back to traditional:) These vintage-inspired silver pulls are so elegant, but cool at the same time. Brass and black have been dominating for so long, but I am ready to lean into the silvers like Emily did in her guest bathroom. In the same vein, try bronze too, like I said with the knob above! I love the tone of these classically shaped pulls, handles, and knobs. They have a little bit of an industrial edge that I really love.

Unlacquered Brass Polished Serene Handles and Knobs | Unlacquered Antique Brass Button Pulls with Bevel Backplate

Keeping with the classic shapes, these two options are just beautiful. You know EHD loves our unlaquered brass, so we aren’t mad at either of these at all. The soft delicate-ness of the handles on the left is so pretty and versatile. Then the handles on the right definitely lean much more traditional, but man, are they beautiful! And good thing because they are not inexpensive, ha.

Modern Unusually Shaped Cabinet Handles | Modern Curved Arch Brass Cabinet Handles

I am also a massive lover of unique long hardware, which is why I had to include these. So often, these types of hardware pieces feel so custom that you just assume you couldn’t afford them. And while neither of these are “cheap,” they are also much more doable than you’d think and will absolutely make your home look and feel more custom. The ones on the left really have my heart racing (and they are the more affordable ones!)

Gold Brass Retro-Shaped Cabinet Bar Handles | Concrete Drawer Knob

I’d also say the those gold handles and knob also looked pretty special. So while I don’t think you have to be overly concerned about having hardware “no one else has,” it’s fun to search a little extra to maybe find some pieces that aren’t “everywhere.” The cone bases are too cool. Same goes for the concrete ball knob. It’s not the first one I’ve ever seen, but it’s cool, a different kind of texture, and not so popular that it will be in every neighbor’s home, you know?

Fun Brass Furniture Handles and Knobs | Gold Semicircle Drawer Pulls

But also, it’s very fun to get a little extra wild. I love the idea, especially for a kids’/tween room, to have differently shaped knobs on a dresser, side table, etc. But hey, it’s great for adults too! How cute would mixing and matching the knobs on the left be? Then for the knobs on the right, I wouldn’t categorize them as young at all. But they are a perfect little art deco moment that would add a nice touch of glam to a room. They are super affordable too!

Wood Curvy Handle | Wavy Wood Curvy Pull

Naturally, I had to end with wood, but fun wood! Since not everyone wants a simple straight line or traditional details, either of these would be an awesome alternative. I love that the shape is a bit out of the ordinary, but the wood material grounds it a little. You can’t go wrong!

And here concludes our Etsy shopping trip. I know how overwhelming Etsy can be, so I truly hope this was helpful for those shopping for cabinet hardware. Have fun with it because it can make a huge difference. Is there anything else you’d like me to use Etsy to shop for? I love doing it!

Love you, mean it.
