Marvel has released a new teaser for The Fantastic Four: First Steps and we have it here for you, though, not much new footage. Most of what you see below we have seen already. As such, I can’t say this helped me to get any more excited for the movie. I was already seeing this opening weekend. However, my point is, that at this point I don’t see this new teaser doing much to win over the casuals.

So far, all I’ll say is that I warming up to Ben’s voice and I already loved the look. I love what I see so far from Johnny and Sue. I am not yet sold on Pedro as Reed, but I’m sure I’ll warm to him in the role.
I think my criticism of the marketing so far is that it makes the movie look a little boring. The cool aesthetic and time period design is great, that’s enough for me alone to check this out. However, casual fans will be looking for some cool action shots and maybe villains. So far Galactus’s feet and shadow are all we are getting, plus another small glimpse of Silver Surfer.

When Marvel eventually releases the full trailer, I think they need to show us the movie won’t just be family drama until Galactus shows up. That’s how it looks based on current teasers. I’m not saying spoil everything, just maybe 1-2 shots of the heroes using their powers (that we have not seen yet). Or, maybe a glimpse of a terrestrial villain, (if there are any in the film).
